     The official language of the 5th IVIS will be English. Simultaneous translation will not be provided.

Certificate of participation
     Registered delegates will be provided the certificate. This certificate can be used to apply for Continuing Education Credit.

Official letter of invitation
     This can be issued by the Conference Secretariat to any delegate on request, if such an invitation would facilitate travel arrangements, obtaining travel Visa and your permission to participate in the 5th IVIS. Please note, however, that such a letter is not in any way associated with a financial/sponsor commitment for the delegates by the conference secretariat.

Visa requirements
     All foreign delegates along with their accompanying members should have a valid passport with travel visa for India.  Delegates who wish to visit Kathmandu (Nepal) will require the double entry visa for Nepal also. Indian consulates will be requested to ensure prompt issue of visas to the delegates in their respective countries.
 
Currency exchange
     The official currency in India is the Indian rupee. Any foreign currency can be brought into India, but US dollar and sterling pound are more universal currency. You can use traveller cheques, currency notes and credit cards (Visa, MASTER, American Express). Credit card transactions from overseas however cannot be accepted. Currency exchange facilities will be available at the International Airport, New Delhi, at the conference venue, PAU, Ludhiana campus and at Ludhiana city hotels. Please retain your transaction documents/receipts. When leaving the country, you can re-exchange Indian rupees into US dollars/sterling pounds.
 
Services at the conference venue
*   Currency exchange bank counter.
*   Fax facility for sending and receiving messages.
*   E-Mail facility for incoming and outgoing messages.
*   Telephone ISD, including reverse charge call facility.
*   Xerox/photocopying.
*   Secretariat & typing services.
*   Post office services (including stamps)
*   Travel agency service counter
 
Food and drinks
*   The organising committee is proud to be able to provide a complete daily meal plan at the venue for all registered delegates, along with all their accompanying members. This meal plan is sponsored and includes:  breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon refreshments, and dinner.
*    Breakfast (7.30 to 8.30 am) and dinner (7.30 to 9.30 pm) will be provided at the Sukhdev Singh Bhawan complex close to the conference centre on the PAU campus, Ludhiana. This allows maximum interaction between the participants. Of course, this is optional and participants can take these meals at their hotel or in other places in town.
*   Special arrangements have been worked out to serve a high variety of quality dishes, foods and soft drinks, to satisfy local and international tastes.
*   A special committee for catering has been set up along with a team of medical experts for the quality control of the food preparations.  
*   Drinking mineral water in sterilized packed bottles/disposable glasses will be served at hotels, Conference Centre and during local travels)
*   During morning (11.00 to 11.15 am) and afternoon (4.00 to 4.15 pm) breaks tea, coffee and other refreshments will be served at different sites at the conference grounds.  Lunches will be served from 1.00 pm to 2.00 pm at the same places.
